PrayDaily ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and web application (collectively, the "App").

By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

We collect information that you provide directly to us and information that is collected automatically when you use the App.

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password.
• Prayer Data: Prayers you log, prayer titles, descriptions, and any notes you add.
• Fasting Data: Fasting schedules, types, start/end dates, and reminder times you configure.
• Payment Information: When you subscribe to our Premium plan, payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We retain a record of your subscription status and transaction history.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version for compatibility and debugging purposes.
• Usage Data: How you interact with the App, including features used and pages visited, to improve our services.
• Log Data: Error logs and performance data to help us diagnose issues and improve the App.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide, maintain, and improve the App's features and services
• Process your Premium subscription and payments
• Send you prayer and fasting reminders that you have configured
• Send password reset emails when requested
• Respond to your support requests and inquiries
• Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve user experience
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or security breaches

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe receives payment information necessary to process your subscription. Stripe's use of your data is governed by their Privacy Policy.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request.
• Protection of Rights: We may disclose information to protect the rights, property, or safety of PrayDaily, our users, or others.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

• Encryption of passwords using industry-standard hashing algorithms (bcrypt)
• Secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission
• JWT-based authentication tokens with expiration
• Regular security reviews and updates

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. Specifically:

• Active Accounts: Your data is retained for the duration of your account.
• Deleted Accounts: When you delete your account, your prayers and fasting records are permanently removed. Your user record is soft-deleted and payment history is retained for legal and accounting purposes.
• Re-registration: If you re-register with the same email after deleting your account, a new account is created. Previously deleted prayer and fasting data cannot be recovered.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: You can view your profile information and data within the App at any time.
• Update: You can update your name and password through the App's profile settings.
• Delete: You can delete your account from the App's profile settings. This will permanently remove your prayer and fasting data.
• Data Request: You may request information about your data by contacting us at praydailyai@gmail.com.
• Withdraw Consent: You can stop using the App at any time.

8. Account Deletion

PrayDaily allows you to request the deletion of your account and all associated data. You can do this in two ways:

Option 1: Delete from the App

1. Open the PrayDaily app and sign in to your account.
2. Go to your Profile page.
3. Tap "Delete Account".
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Option 2: Request via Email

If you are unable to delete your account from within the app, you can request account deletion by sending an email to:

Please include the email address associated with your PrayDaily account in your request. We will process your deletion request within 7 business days.

What Data Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

• All saved prayers and prayer history
• All fasting records and fasting reminders
• Profile information (name, email)

What Data Is Retained

The following data may be retained for a limited period after account deletion:

• Payment and billing records: Retained for up to 7 years as required by applicable tax and accounting laws.
• User record (soft-deleted): A minimal record is kept in a soft-deleted state for fraud prevention and to support re-registration. This record does not contain any prayer, fasting, or personal activity data.

Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered. If you re-register with the same email address, a fresh account will be created with no prior data.

9. Notifications and Reminders

The App may send you local notifications for prayer and fasting reminders that you have configured. These notifications are scheduled on your device and do not require sending your data to external notification services.

You can manage or disable notifications through your device's system settings or within the App.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

11. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

• Stripe: For payment processing. Stripe's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
• OpenAI: For AI-powered prayer features. Prayer content may be processed by OpenAI's API. OpenAI's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third-party services.

12. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

Continued use of the App after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
